RIP Sotajumala 1998—2016
Eighteen years is a respectable age for any band, but we've now reached the end of the road and have decided to call it quits. Four albums, five other releases, a live dvd, four music videos, 135 shows and at least a dozen fan tattoos… We're incredibly proud of everything we've accomplished and will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives.
It's a long goddamn road from Lievestuore to the top of the sales charts and repeatedly playing all major metal festivals in this country, but even more astonishing is the amount of love and respect we've enjoyed all these years. Our career has been full of an incredible amount of happiness, great achievements and wonderful people. We are very grateful and can't thank you all enough! While the band is now over, the music and memories will live on.
There has always been a certain brotherhood in this band. Through thick and thin, it has always defined us, it has always been present in the music and on stage. The decision to quit wasn't easy, but we felt it was better to quit while we're still ahead.

We'll play our last show on Saturday May 13th 2017 at Lutakko in Jyväskylä, Finland. We are joined by our friends in Torture Killer and Deathchain. Pre-sale tickets are sold out and only a very limited amount of tickets are left at the door.
We're doing an additional show on Friday May 12th with Demilich and Gloria Morti. Seeing the final show sold out in mere days, we recommend you buy tickets quickly for this one as well.
